Saturday 27th September 2008 was the wedding of Neil and Marie. The ceremony was held at All Saints Church, Thurcaston, Leicester and the reception at Ansty Hall in Warwickshire. The Autumn weather was extremely kind to us all. The light was superb, the rain was nowhere to be seen and the fallen leaves added that extra special something to the day. With the assistance of David and Kerry we got a fantastic set of images for the album.
Yesterday, Saturday 6th September I helped David photographing a wedding reception at Woodside in Kenilworth, Warwickshire. The Woodside is a great venue with lots of opportunity for some great group shots and individual portrait images. The weather was not kind to us, with the only attendees seemingly enjoying the downpour outside being the resident rabbits in the grounds of the estate. We enjoyed a hog roast and got some great pictures of the night using our technique of slow shutter speed plus flash to create images with lots of light and movement, capturing the mood on the dancefloor.
Sunday 3rd August 2008 saw the wedding of Matt and Claire at the neo-Gothic mansion Ettington Park in Warwickshire. I played second photographer for David and although we had to dodge the rain showers for a while we had a great time at the impressive venue. You would not know Ettington Park existed unless you were familiar with the area. It is completely hidden from the main road by tall trees which is amazing considering the size of the place. The building itself is very dramatic and inspiring. The staff were fantastic and really helpful. Well worth considering as a venue ! And we bagged some great photographs.
I was second photographer to David for the wedding of Robert and Tracy-Ann at the Stratford Manor in Warwickshire on Saturday 14th June 2008. The Stratford Manor is a fantastic modern hotel with great opportunities inside and out for some stylish wedding shots with great lighting. We all had a great day and the weather was kind to us. good luck to Rob and Tracy-Ann for the future.
On Friday 6th June I visited The Old Thatch Tavern in Stratford-Upon-Avon to do an editorial shoot for Totally magazine. At over 500 years old this pub must have some stories to tell. The pub is small and has a great atmosphere. Worth a visit to rest your feet after a day wandering around Stratford.
Saturday 31st May 2008 saw me at the Leamington Bar & Grill in Leamingston Spa, Warwickshire photographing the venue and guests for a Totally magazine article. The Bar & Grill is spacious and modern and a great place for a meal and drink.
The Green Farm End in Willington, Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire hosted The Crystal Ball in aid of The Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust on Saturday May 17th. We were in attendance shooting editorial photographs for Totally magazine. It was a fantastic event for an extremely worthy cause. With 550 guests the Marquee had to be spacious – and it was. And star of the night was Mr Quentin Willson, motoring expert and TV personality.
Saturday 10th May 2008 was a special day for Claire and Stephen as they got married at the 14th century Lord Leycester Hospital in the centre of Warwick. The Lord Leycester Hospital is a fantastic wedding venue which oozes history and character. The Masters Gardens at the rear of the building offers plenty of photo opportunites for formal family shots plus bride and groom portraiture. It was a great day with lovely weather and we wish both Claire and Stephen the best in their future together.
My latest model shoot was with Rebecca in the grounds of Jephson Gardens in Leamington Spa. The weather remained dry if a little cold but we got some fantastic photographs. Check out the full gallery here.
